The 2007–08 season was a great one for Fleetwood as they won the Northern Premier League, gaining promotion to the Conference North. 2 years later, the 2009-2010 season, The Cod Army won promotion to the conference after beating Alfreton Town 2-1 in the play-off final.
The 2011-2012 season was an unexpected and unbelievable season for Fleetwood as they won promotion to the Football League for the first time ever after a 29 game unbeaten run and were promoted with 2 games to go. Life got even better in the 2013-2014 season, as Fleetwood won promotion to League One after beating Burton Albion 1-0 in the play-off final with a free kick from Antoni Sarcevic.
They have remained in League One since then, losing in the play-off semi-finals to Bradford City, and the faithful Fleetwood Fans have Uwe Rosler as manager as they head into the 2017-2018 season with hope of going one better than last time, and making it up to the Championship for the first time in The Cod Army’s history.
